The following is an explanation of how vet fees are covered in each membership level.

 

ACCIDENT membership - As an ACCIDENT member we may provide cover for eligible injuries caused in each accident for up to 12 months from the first date of treatment or until your vet fee limit is used up whichever happens first (as long as your membership remains in force). Once the 12 months or maximum benefit limit specified in your membership schedule has been reached for each accident, any ongoing treatment required as a result of the injury will not be covered.

BRONZE membership - As a BRONZE member we may provide cover for each illness or injury up to either your maximum benefit limit or a maximum period of 12 months whichever is reached first. The claim period starts from the date of the first treatment and will continue until either the benefit limit or maximum claim period is reached provided your membership remains in force. Once you reach the 12 month or maximum benefit limit, you will not be able to claim for the same injury or illness in the future or continue to receive payment for existing treatment even if you renew your membership.

SILVER membership - As a SILVER member each illness and injury may be covered until the maximum amount has been spent as long as your membership remains in force. There is no time limit on reaching your maximum benefit limit. This means that you will be able to claim for ongoing illness or injuries, provided you continue to renew your membership, with no time limit on how long treatment can last up to these limits.

GOLD membership - As a GOLD member your maximum cover benefit will be reinstated each year for as long as your membership remains in force. Once your maximum annual cover benefit has been reached no further payments will be made and any further treatment required for that year will not be covered. You must renew your membership to ensure your pet is covered for new treatment for illnesses or injuries for the following year. An ongoing illness or injury that needed treatment in one year and which we agreed to cover will be covered again the next year. There is no limit on how many times the same illness or injury can be covered in this way, as long as your GOLD membership remains in force.
