West Highland White Terrier

Breed: West Highland White Terrier Find Litters

The West Highland Terrier, commonly known as the Westie, is a breed of dog from Scotland with a distinctive white harsh coat. They are often more tolerant toward other dogs and cats than many other terriers, especially to dogs and cats who belong to their own family. But many Westies are still dominant or aggressive toward strange dogs. Westies should not be trusted off-leash.

Westies are prone to major health problems such as Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease, Craniomandibular Osteopathy and Globoid Cell Leukodystrophy.
