The Manchester Terrier is named after the English city where it was first bred and is a smooth-haired terrier. It was first bred in the 19th century to control vermin, and is extremely effective at killing rats. Manchester Terriers should always be walked on a leash as they will always go after any small, furry animals and they can be aggressive toward dogs they don’t know.
