The Lakeland Terrier is a small to medium-sized breed of dog originating in the Lake District of England. They were originally bred to hunt and kill foxes that preyed on sheep during the lambing season. They look very similar in appearance to the Airedale Terrier, but in mini form. A lively, feisty type of dog; Lakeland Terriers are alert, cheerful, loving and affectionate.
